Each person has a distinctive form of movement; an expression of their personality that makes them unique in this world. Consequently, each piece in Abdullah Al-Saab’s collection reflects the unique character of its owner: sizes are unlike regular, mass-produced sizes; fabric cuts are contrary to the norm and are left raw and organic. As is nature. As is pure movement. The concept of intermingling fashion with nature is taken to a realm “beyond” the norm, whereby each piece is hand-painted by an established artist, Shurooq Amin, as she is inspired by the movements of nature. Nature, of course, moves. One translucent wave’s flow is unique to the splash of another opaque wave; one sway of a leaf-barren branch is not the same bow as another air-dried branch. And so it is with human nature. This unique concept of fashion flows from the ideology of how we live our lives, the psychology behind our movements, reflecting the designer’s vision and the artist’s inspiration, connected to nature’s movements. The collection is not just clothes, not just fashion, not just art, because each piece is the only one of its kind in the world. It is therefore beyond fashion, beyond art, beyond nature, beyond movements.
